From Dirtworld
"This trail is a must ride if you're in the St. George area. there is not much elevation change from the trailhead to the point on the west end of the mesa. the trail is an excellent combination of singletrack and slickrock. the vistas are amazing with views into zion and to the valley below from the top of the mesa. bring water and plenty of it if you ride this in the summer."
"I hit this trail for the 3rd time last weekend. It will never cease to amaze me how awesome this trail is. Our group ran into Morgan, who, with his brother in 1993 decided to make the trail. He comes out once a year to repaint the white dots. I recommend this to any mtn biker that enjoys good mix of single track and slick rock. Never a dull moment on Gooseberry!!"
"There is nothing quite like climbing a technical section knowing that if you make a wrong move you're history. Two hundred feet of air and sharp rocks at the bottom certainly add a new level of excitement to the journey."
"my friend stayed and decided to start charging admission"
"I've biked moab for fifteen years and finally rode gooseberry last year. It is by far my favorite place to ride. The best of everything. Freeride fun."
"I've been on lot's of different trails around the world, but gooseberry mesa is my all time favorite! i'm waiting for the next stop in hurricane.... A guy from Switzerland"
"I drive from lake placid, n.y. twice a year to ride this trail. one of the funnest trails anywhere."
"This is the best mtn bike trail in Utah. Is a tough ride and will challenge your skills, so if you are a beginner pass this one, go try green valley loop. but if you are into "technicallity" this is the one for you. I live in Ogden, and go to St. George at least 4 times a year, just to ride this trail! Hats off to mike and morgan...if i recall thier names right, the two who developed this trail. first time out riding we met these two guys, what a great job they did on this one! Thanks guys for all the hard work."
"This is quite possibly the best trail on the planet. Challenging slickrock, tight singletack, spectacular scenery and in great shape year-round. It rocks!"
From Singletracks
"The most incredible mountain bike trail in the US! Fantastic views of Zions National Park. All the slickrock and singletrack you and your bike can handle. Don't let your attention wander to the sights, this trail shows no mercy to the unskilled!!! A tip of the helmet to Mike and Morgan, the trail creators!!!”
“This trail rocks. I keep going back and back to ride it again. It is better than Slickrock and less crowded but not for long.”
“Gooseberry Mesa is one of the ten best rides in North America for variety and technical challenges. On the edges, the scenery is pretty good, too.”
“A must for any rider, technical and fun. what don't kill you will only make you stronger.”
“This is one of the best if not the best slick rock trail I have ever done. I have done Moab, Sedona, Colorado, etc..etc. This trail is not for the beginner. It is technical and around every turn it seems has something that will challenge even the most advanced rider. The 6-hour drive from Phoenix was well worth it to ride this trail. It has a little of everything. If you love technical and slick rock, this trail is for you.”
“Freaky, I would like to do it at night with a headlamp, best trail ever. Desolate, bring h2o.”
“Do not let anyone fool you, Mike and Morgan are wizards. This trail is the most fun you can have on a bike. Beautiful sites and challenging terrain. Come one come all. See the best slickrock.”
