Welcome to the only choice in lodging that is actually on Gooseberry Mesa. We have 4 yurts available for rent located on the North Rim just past the Windmill Trailhead.
The yurts are located 7 miles down a dirt road. Extreme weather can sometimes make access difficult. Checking in after dark is also not recommended.
We are closed during July and August due to hot temperatures. Extreme temperatures can also occur during the months we are open. March, April, May, mid to late September, October and November are the most comfortable times to visit.
Yurting is NOT Glamping. It is camping with style. The yurts are very comfortably stocked with bunk beds, lantern, cook stove and wood stove for heat. But there is no running water, electricity or air conditioning. You must bring your own water, Coleman cannisters, bedding (sleeping bags, pillows), and wood.
Please note that Gooseberry Yurts is not meant to be just a "place to stay" while visiting Zion National Park. Gooseberry Mesa is a destination unto itself, with the most amazing mountain biking and beautiful sunsets you will ever see. It is best savored and enjoyed by a several night stay.
